Ashwani Maheshwari

Ashwani has over three decades of experience in full cycle of business management. He has had deep, as well as, wide experience, in business operations and transformations, management of complex projects and supply chain with leading groups such as Tata Steel, ITC, BK Birla and Varroc. Through his career, he has worked in Steel, FMCG, IT, Tyres, Paper and Auto Components, starting from shop floor and has overseen Production, Engineering, Projects, single plant to overall operations.
Post his Sloan Masters in Leadership and Strategy from London Business School, in 2009, he transitioned to general management as COO / CEO of businesses across the groups he has been associated with thereafter. He has directly spearheaded Birla Tyres, Century Paper and Varroc as the CEO – India business and Whole Time Director.
He leveraged his multi sectoral and transformative experience with India Resurgence Fund as Operating Partner, in his last assignment. He worked with promoters, CEOs and the Investment team in bringing transformative changes to the various business he has been associated with.
He is currently with Kedaara Capital as an Operating Partner. He also serves on the board of Tega Industries. He is passionate about women empowerment and has founded a non-profit company – Chandra Jai Social Foundation.
Ashwani is a graduate engineer from IIT, Roorkee and has also successfully completed Executive Development Programs from the Wharton School, USA and from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, USA.
