    Nitin Paranjpe is the Chief Mentor and an Operating Partner at Kedaara Capital.

    Nitin is a seasoned leader with over three decades of experience in the FMCG sector, having held diverse roles across operations and senior management. He has spent nearly his entire professional career at Unilever, beginning as a management trainee in 1987 and rising through the ranks to hold several global leadership positions.

    In 2008, Nitin was appointed CEO of Hindustan Unilever, becoming one of the youngest to hold the role. During his five-year tenure, he revitalised the organisation and significantly stepped-up growth, nearly doubling the business. He then served as President of Unilever’s Homecare business for over four years, consistently delivering market beating growth while almost doubling profitability. Following this, Nitin was appointed President of Unilever’s Foods and Refreshment businesses, where he led their integration.

    In 2019, Nitin became the Chief Operating Officer of Unilever, responsible for managing the company’s global profit and loss. In his final executive role at Unilever, he served as Chief People and Transformation Officer, leading one of the most significant transformation initiatives undertaken by the company in the last two decades.

    In 2022, Nitin became the Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Hindustan Unilever, a position he continues to hold. He also serves on the boards of several esteemed organisations including Heineken and Infosys.

    At Kedaara, Nitin works closely with Kedaara sector teams in particular on consumer and allied themes and plays an active role in advising on existing and new investments. He also collaborates with the senior leadership team on firm level initiatives.
