Keki Mistry

Keki Mistry is an Independent Operating Advisor at Kedaara Capital, an India-based private equity firm.

He currently also serves as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of HDFC Bank, following the amalgamation of HDFC Ltd with HDFC Bank on June 30, 2023. With over four decades of extensive experience in the Banking and Financial Services domain, Keki has built a remarkable career characterized by strategic leadership, transformative vision, and a steadfast commitment to excellence. Keki began his professional journey at AF Ferguson & Co, a renowned Chartered Accountancy firm, before moving on to short stints at Hindustan Unilever Ltd and Indian Hotels Company Ltd. In 1981, he joined HDFC Ltd, India’s premier housing finance company, where his exceptional leadership and operational expertise soon became evident. Over the years, Keki held diverse responsibilities at HDFC, leading to his induction onto its Board as Executive Director in 1993. In 2000, he was appointed Managing Director, followed by his elevation to Vice Chairman and Managing Director in 2007, and subsequently, Vice Chairman and CEO in 2010.

Throughout his tenure at HDFC Ltd, Keki played a pivotal role in its evolution into India’s leading financial services conglomerate. Under his stewardship, HDFC Ltd successfully facilitated the formation of key subsidiaries, including HDFC Bank Ltd., HDFC Asset Management Company Ltd., HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd., and HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company Ltd. His strategic vision ensured HDFC’s sustained leadership and growth in the financial services sector.
