Abidali Neemuchwala

Abid Neemuchwala is an Independent Operating Advisor at Kedaara Capital, an India based private equity firm.

Over the course of a 32-year distinguished career in the technology industry, Abid has established a reputation for bold transformative thinking, a laser-sharp focus on results and an unwavering commitment to maximizing stakeholder value. He has displayed a consistent ability to align and motivate his organizations to deliver business results leveraging emerging technology, which has resulted in market differentiation, and industry leading growth and profitability.

Abid began his corporate journey at TCS in 1992. Through a stellar 23-year long stint at TCS, at a time of rapid growth in the nascent Indian IT services industry, Abid enjoyed conceptualizing and building new business lines, as well as running mega transformational deals. Post the GFC, Abid assumed responsibility for building a new business at TCS and under his leadership TCS’s Digital Ops business grew to $2 billion revenues in less than ten years. He joined Wipro in 2015 and soon took over as their Global CEO. At Wipro, he implemented a strategy that focused on stronger client partnerships, invested in digital-first and agile capabilities, while strengthening execution and driving deeper employee engagement. Under his leadership, Wipro’s digital business grew to 40% of overall revenues (at 35% CAGR over his 5 years tenure), to catapult the company as a scaled enterprise-wide digital transformation player by the time he left in 2020. Abid also co-founded an early-stage venture capital, Dallas Venture Capital, in 2020, focused on investing in B2B SaaS companies across the US and India.

Over a remarkable career spanning multiple countries and organizations, Abid has won many awards, including the Distinguished Alumni Award from IIT Bombay in 2020. He is equally passionate about the community. He has served/serves on various non-profit boards including Texas Economic Development Corporation, One Star Foundation, and the World Affairs Council of DFW. He has been a member of the Business Roundtable in Washington DC, WEF IT Governors council in Davos and of the Indo-US CEO forum. He lives in Dallas, Texas, loves reading, travelling with and enjoying adventure sports with his family.

Abid serves on the Board of Axiscades and in strategic advisory roles at multiple PE / VC portfolio companies and a few other private companies in the technology software and services space.

Abid earned his Bachelors in Electronics and Communication Engineering from NIT Raipur and Masters in Electronics Engineering from IIT Bombay.
